Sri Lanka will soon introduce a new law on
sustainable development which will help move the country towards
more innovation and future-orientated thinking to inspire better
buildings and businesses,
The IT-BPM industry which has been well below
its export revenue target of US $ 1 billion for many years is poised
for steady growth and will reach the one billion dollar mark by the
end of this year, Sri Lanka Association for Software and Services
Companies (SLASSCOM) sources said.
The Malaysian government is exploring the
possibility of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Sri Lanka to
increase bilateral trade and investments, Malaysia’s Minister of
International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said.
Performance improves by 46% :
SriLankan Airlines announced that it has
recorded a significantly improved performance at the close of the
financial year ending March 31, 2016 (based on un-audited
financials) compared to the previous year - despite several legacy
issues still remaining unresolved.
Economists and tax experts while acknowledging
