Making a difference on Earth Day!

A beach-cleaning activity on Marine Drive near the Wellawatte area was organised by OZO Colombo, celebrating its commitment for a greener environment to commemorate Earth Day. Over 50 volunteers from OZO Colombo and members of the Rotaract Club cleaned up more than 300 kilos of garbage - including plastic bottles, bags, slippers, shoes and all non-biodegradable items to provide a foundation of a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable coastal environment for us all. The country Manager for Earth Hour Sri Lanka Abdul Qadir Uvais, also joined the movement.
