Brayan, first Lankan to win Junior Formula C'ship

17-years-old Brayan Perera won the Formula Junior Series held in Coimbatore, India. He was the fastest driver throughout the series, showing great driving skills and overtaking moves to help propel him to the top step of the podium.

Despite 2 DNF'S during the weekend, he was able to take over the championship in the final race of the day. He finishes 4 points ahead of Ashwin Datta who also showed great skills as these two put up a great show for the fans by driving on the limit for 12 laps consistently, exchanging the lead several times but it was Brayan Perera who came out on top and crossed the chequered flag to bring home the championship. Winning the championship, he will be allowed to take part in the 19th JK Tyre National Championship with a free sponsorship and will be competing with some of the best drivers India has to offer.

This gives Brayan, a kick start to his racing career as he is reaching new heights in the international arena and can expect to see more great things from this lad.
