want to be a neurosurgeon
I am Dinethra Ekanayake. I study at Highlands College, Maharagama. I
like to be a neurosurgeon when I grow up. I decided to become a
neurosurgeon because my father died of brain cancer. I want to study all
about how it happened. There is no medicine for brain cancer and so my
aim is to try my best to find a treatment for such diseases. My mother
says that it is impossible to achieve such great heights especially for
women but I think she is wrong. I will achieve it as I believe that
there is pleasure in achieving what others say is impossible. I wish to
receive a Nobel Prize.

want to be a paediatrician
My name is Amani Shaista Buharie. I am seven years old. I study at
Amaanah Montessori School in California, USA. I am in Grade Two. I like
to help the needy. When I grow up I want to be a paediatrician. A
paediatrician is a doctor who treats children. I want to treat the sick
children well. I like to help the poor children by providing free
medicine. I like to educate people on how to live a healthy life. One
day when I become a paediatrician my parents will be proud of me.

wish I will be an animal-preserver
My name is Dulnitha Sathsilu Baddewaththa. I study at i-GATE College,
Thalawathugoda. My ambition is to be an animal-preserver. No matter what
others say, no matter what others think, I wish to be a kind and helpful
animal-preserver. I will rescue, protect and breed animals. I will fight
with poachers to stop killing animals. When I look at endangered
animals, I saw their numbers dropping. So I have decided to work hard
and become an animal-preserver. I wish my dream will come true.

yearn to be an aircraft designing engineer
My name is Dhiraj Ekanayake. I study at Highlands College, Maharagama.
I love to draw diagrams of airplane systems and that is the reason why I
yearn to be an aircraft designing engineer. I could draw pictures of
planes from the age of eight. Aircraft designing engineer is very
interesting. I like to design aircraft in different shapes and engines
with the latest technology. I hope and pray my dream will come true. |
