South Asia’s first Islamic Banking forum in Colombo

Adl Capital will be the key event partner at a historic two-day regional conference on Islamic Banking and Finance which opens on Tuesday, July 26 in Colombo. The confab will provide the platform on which cross border regional transactions and product development initiatives would be pursued within the South Asian region, according to Adl Capital.

The Forum features leading state and private sector industry experts representing the South Asian, Middle East and South East Asian regions. The theme will be ‘South Asia – The Next Growth Phenomenon in Islamic Finance’. Islamic Banking and Finance (IBF) expanded in Sri Lanka with the country’s annual SLIBFI conference being held in Colombo for the past eight years. Several institutions in the local IBF sector have formed the Association of Alternate Financial Institutions (AAFI).
