U23 division I final at SSC today

Sri Lanka Army SC and Chilaw Marians CC will battle it out for the Sri Lanka Cricket Under 23 division I limited overs title when they meet in the final at the SSC grounds today. Both teams entered the final with facile victories over fancied opponents. Army SC overcame CCC by seven wickets and Chilaw Marians outplayed SSC by 104 runs in the semi-finals. The champion team stands a chance to pocket a handsome Rs. 300,000 with Rs. 200,000 going to the runner-up There are also individual awards for Player of the Tournament, Player of the Final, Best Batsman and Best Bowler. The awards however will be presented at the SLC’s annual Dialog Awards night.
