Rs. 73 m. Japanese aid for SLRC projects
The Government of Japan will provide Rs. 73.6 m. for 449 NHK
Organisation programs scheduled by the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation.
Most of them are documentaries such as, Project X innovators, the
Professional, the New Technology of Japan, Small Worldwide Companies,
The Way of Professional I, Japan's Job Encyclopaedia, Images of Japan,
Unknown Wonders, Science zero, World Natural Heritage Areas in Japan,
Super Cameras, 10 Minutes Science and Experiment Art Fun. Rs. 42.7
million have been allocated for dubbing & sub titling as counterpart
funds.
Japan Ambassador, Kenichi Suganuma and Secretary, Ministry of
Finance, Dr.R.H.S. Samarathunge will sign the agreement on Sept. 13 at
the Finance Ministry.
This project will familiarise our people with the Japanese economic,
financial & scientific techniques. There are special programs for
children which are very helpful for mathematics and science subjects in
schools.
