Korea - Sri Lanka joint art exhibition
'The Dream Project Exhibition 2016':
A Korea-Sri Lanka joint art exhibition, entitled 'The Dream Project
Exhibition 2016', was held at the J.D.A. Perera Gallery in Colombo on
August 12 for the fourth consecutive year. The art exhibition was
organized by the Korea National University of Arts and the Sri Lanka
University of the Visual and Performing Arts, to promote cultural
exchanges among young, talented artists of the two countries.
The exhibition showcased a variety of visual artworks by about 30
students and faculty members of the two universities. It served to
enhance bilateral relationship between Korea and Sri Lanka in the field
of arts. More than 100 people from all walks of life attended the
opening event and enjoyed the creative results of two-week-long efforts
by the artists.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of Korea has
worked in partnership with the Korea National University of Arts since
2013 to implement the "Dream Project" that aims to contribute to the
advancement of arts in partner countries. The Dream Project offers
short-term workshops and art camps, including professional training
programs and educational opportunities, for young artists to help
sharpen their skills and broaden their perspectives in the field of
arts.
