Hayleys Toastmasters Club-Executive committee

The Toastmasters Club of Hayleys PLC installed its seventh executive committee with the patronage of Chairman and Chief Executive of Hayleys PLC Mohan Pandithage and District Director for District 82 of Toastmasters International Sudash Liyanage.

It was officially installed by the Area Director Nuwan Wijesinghe.

Keeping with tradition, the Club chose 'Transformation' as the theme for the year to highlight the journey has taken from its inception in 2010 to today, where the Club is recognized as a prestigious 'President's Distinguished Club'.

The 'Presidents Distinguished' status was awarded by Toastmasters International, USA for the second consecutive year in recognition of the Hayleys Toastmasters Club's excellence in overall program quality that covers educational, membership, training, administration and leadership aspects.

The Club has won many accolades in the past six years, most recently being awarded the coveted 'Golden Gavel' by the District 82 Council of Toastmasters International during the year 2015/2016, in recognition of the balanced performance in educational, leadership and administrative aspects of the club.

The club produced the first and second runner up at the recently concluded International Speech Contest in the impromptu speech contest of Division J of District 82 of Toastmasters, where more than 20 clubs participated. One of the Clubs ongoing projects is the 'Hayleys Speech crafters' program which is a platform where approximately 70 executives of the company are trained in public speaking every year. The company strongly believes that the Hayleys Toastmasters Club sets a platform to help its employees become successful future leaders by giving them an opportunity to uplift and enhance their skills.

The Hayleys Toastmasters Club was formed by a group of executives of the Hayleys Group with the mission to uplift and enhance their public speaking skills for both, personal and professional development. Toastmaster's is a nonprofit educational organization, designed to uplift presentation, leadership and speaking skills of success driven individuals. With a network of clubs across the world, Toastmaster's international has more than 345,000 members in over 15,900 clubs across 142 countries. Hayleys Toastmasters Club is considered one of the most vibrant clubs in Sri Lanka.
