Miss Intercontinental pageant in October

Miss Intercontinental Pageant will be held in Sri Lanka for the first time. This year will mark the 45th anniversary of the pageant which will be the first global pageant to be held in Sri Lanka and only the second global pageant to be held in South Asia after 20 years.

The event will be organized and conceptualized by Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and held in October with the participation of contestants from over 60 countries. The event was announced last week in the presence of Valentina Rasulova - Current Titleholder (Miss Intercontinental 2015). Paddy Vithana - Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism, Krishan Balendra - President, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Aelian Gunawardene - Managing Director, JAT Holdings, Sunil Dissanayake - Director General, BMICH, Detlef Tursies - Member, Miss Intercontinental Organization and Torsten Ulrich Galts - Choreographer - Miss Intercontinental 2016 were also present.
