Galle Face Hotel to participate at 'The Culinary Fiesta'
The Galle Face Hotel announced its participation at 'The Culinary
Fiesta,' organised by the Culinary Arts Club of S. Thomas' College,
Mount Lavinia. The Culinary Arts Club, which has functioned successfully
for over 10 years, organises this event annually with the objective of
teaching students culinary skills and providing them with invaluable
insights into the hotel and hospitality industry in order to encourage
talented individuals to consider a career in this field.
At the event, renowned chefs will prepare a variety of delectable
dishes which provide the audience with the opportunity to learn how
these dishes are made as well as experience its scrumptious taste.
Speaking about the importance of hosting events such as this, the
Executive Chef at The Galle Face Hotel, Adam Gaunt-Evans who will be
participating at the fiesta said, "We are delighted to be working with
S. Thomas' College and partnering with them for the first time at The
Culinary Fiesta. Working in the hospitality industry has allowed me to
explore the world and have experiences I would never have dreamed of,
growing up in a small village in Wales. It's extremely important to
share our experience and advice with these young ambitious students at
this important early stage of their careers. They are the future
generation of chefs and hoteliers. There has never been a better time to
join the hospitality industry, and nurturing fresh talent is a big part
of our responsibility for the future."
The Culinary Fiesta will take place on September 24 in the Main Hall
of S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia from 9.30am to 12.30pm and anyone
interested in the field of hospitality is welcome to attend. |
