Royal, Ladies College dominate the schools:
Sri Lanka Army dominated both Open Men’s and
Women’s Championships to win the Gregory de Silva Trophy while Royal
College Colombo and Ladies College clinched the Schools’ Boys and
Girls Championships respectively at the 31st Sri Lanka National
Rowing Championship which ended at the Diyawanna Rowing Centre,
Battaramulla yesterday.
The much looked forward to moment in the school
cricket calendar has finally arrived! The 38th Observer-Mobitel
Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year awards ceremony will be held at the
Grand Ballroom of the Galadari Hotel, Colombo on Tuesday (20),
commencing from 5.30 pm.
Mahela Jayawardene, the former Sri Lanka captain
and cricketing legend has been referred to as a big game player,
which means that he is the man for the big occasion. Where he
