Sri Lanka at MATTA 2016
Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) with the support of the
Sri Lanka High Commission in Malaysia participated in the MATTA Travel
and Tourism Exhibition from September 2 to 4 in Putra World Trade
Centre, Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia.
The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) is
regarded as Malaysia's largest outbound fair attracting over 100,000
visitors nationally and globally. The event was organised by the
Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) and supported by
the Tourism Authority of Malaysia. This is one of the major events in
the Malaysian tourism calendar.
The Sri Lanka pavilion was ceremonially opened by Minister of Primary
Industries Daya Gamage on September 2 along with the Sri Lanka's High
Commissioner to Malaysia, Ibrahim Sahib Ansar by the lighting of the oil
lamp to specify Sri Lankan tradition. Sri Lanka Tourism was represented
by Assistant Director, Marketing Chami Gasnawage. |
