Army Seva Vanitha Musical show
The Seva Vanitha Army branch was inaugurated in 1984 and we can today
be genuinely proud of being the most active branch of the Seva Vanitha
Movement. This Branch has seen 10 Presidents from the inception, who
have steered it from strength to strength.

It has been the custom like in other branches of the Seva Vanitha
movement for the first lady to be the President, and in the Army, it is
the wife of the Army Commander.
This Branch has an executive committee which meets once a month to
monitor the progress of the various projects undertaken, assess the
requirements projected, decide on financial assistance, grant
scholarships and provide other assistance where needed.

Our projects are mainly for the welfare of the families of officers
and soldiers who have made the supreme sacrifice of their lives as well
as those Missing in Action and those disabled due to injury. Welfare
projects under taken by the Seva Vanitha Army Branch are as follows: -
Housing project
Scholarship project
Montessori and day care centre
Hospital project
Welfare shop project
Mulleriyawa project
(for the Mentally Retarded)
Senehasa Special School project
Provision of medical aid, Financial aid, Artificial Limbs, Crutches
and Wheel Chairs.

Our main project is the Housing Project where we provide houses for
the families of the soldiers who have killed in Action, Missing in
Action and those disabled due to injury. These houses are given to them
free of charge. We intend building more houses on land donated by our
generous donors.
