Eight Juniors for China

Eight top junior shuttlers (four boys and four girls) have been selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Under-16 Mixed Team Badminton Championships to be staged in China from December 20 to 22.

The four boys are - Dilshan Kariyawasam from Ananda, Nuwan Hettiarachchi also from Ananda, H. Perera from Dharmaraja and Lakshitha Maduwage from Dharmasoka, Ambalangoda.

The four girls are Lekha Shehani from Our Lady of Victories Convent, Moratuwa, Achini Rathnasiri from Lindsay, Chameka Madurawa from Mahamaya and Akila Jayamanne from Musaeus.

Jagath Patabendige from Royal College accompanies the team as Chef-de-Mission, Mrs. Iresha Keshani from Lindsay as Lady Chaperone and K. S. Pushpakumara as Coach.
