Lanka IOC to invest US$ 30 mln
Lanka IOC PLC, a subsidiary of the global major, Indian Oil
Corporation will make a phased investment in expanding its footprint in
the island.Lanka IOC PLC will be making a phased investment to the tune
of US $ 30 million to provide world-class quality petroleum products and
services at the most competitive prices to the Sri Lankan customers,
said Managing Director Lanka IOC. K. R. Suresh Kumar.
With the objective of "Bringing Energy to Life" in "every part and in
every heart" the latest ultra-modern Lanka IOC Petrol Filling Station at
High Level Road, Maharagama was opened by Upali Kodikara, Provincial
Minister of Transport, Sports and Youth Affairs, Cultural and Aesthetic
Affairs, Co-operative Development, Food Supplies and Distribution and
Rural Development recently.
The refurbished Lanka IOC Petrol Station at Maharagama will provide
state-of the-art facilities and services on par with international
standards. Lanka IOC PLC through its retail chain, is also making
available non-fuel facilities like convenience stores, 24-hour ATM's
that will not only give value-for-money to the Sri Lankan motorists but
would give altogether a new refueling experience. Kumar said that "we
are gearing ourselves to cater to the expected rise in diesel and petrol
demand by adding 35 to 40 fuel stations annually over a period of four
years"
Today, Lanka IOC PLC has spread its wing with many state-of-the-art
fully owned Petrol Filling Stations across the island except the north.
