Metropolitan Computers launches Acer touch screen computers

Metropolitan Computers launched a range of Acer touch screen computers with Windows 8 software to coincide with the simultaneous global launch Windows 8 by Microsoft.

"Satisfying a worldwide demand for thinner and light weight devices, this new range of Acer multi touch computers take ones' work experience to the next level thus fuelling a stronger growth in touch screens over the next few years in larger display applications such as hybrid notebook PCs and all-in-one PCs," a spokesman for Metropolitan Computers said.

Director and CEO of Metropolitan Computers (Pvt) Ltd Niranjan de Silva said that it normally takes considerable time for technology updates and new gadgets to come to this part of the world, especially the Sri Lankan market.

"Our credo is to enable the Sri Lankan customer to experience the world's latest technology as soon as it is introduced internationally. We're thus proud to be the first to launch this extensive range of touch screen computers with Windows 8 to Sri Lanka".
