that one road death occurs every four hours in Sri Lanka.

Moggallana or Mugalan, was one of the Buddha's
ten major disciples, known to be the foremost in spiritual powers.
He was born to a Brahaman family in the suburbs of Rajagaha, in the
kingdom of Magadha. He was a close friend of Sariputta, from his
childhood.

Keppetipola, Uva rebellion's hero
The rebellion of Uva or the Kandyan rebellion of
1818 to free the country from the British commemorates 194 years on
November 26. The rebellion was brought under control after a total
of 778 rebels were either executed, imprisoned or banished from the
country.
