He was born to a Brahaman family in the suburbs of Rajagaha, in the

Keppetipola, Uva rebellion's hero
The rebellion of Uva or the Kandyan rebellion of
1818 to free the country from the British commemorates 194 years on
November 26. The rebellion was brought under control after a total
of 778 rebels were either executed, imprisoned or banished from the
