Orient Finance and DIMO to facilitate economical school transport

Orient Finance PLC, and Diesel and Motor Engineering (DIMO) PLC. will
provide financing to facilitate economical school transport, a concept
of the All Island School Children's Transport Association.
"Initiated under the theme Gedorin Pasal Dorata (Home to School), the
project will address some of the prevailing issues regarding the
transport of school children," a spokesman said.
Tata City Rider buses will be used for this project and financial
assistance will be provided by Orient Leasing to purchase buses to
commence a school bus service. School bus owners approved by the All
Island School Children's Transport Association(AISCTA) could obtain
leasing from Orient Finance.
It will also provide a reduced 40 percent maintenance cost.
Chairman of AISCTA said that the objective is the safety of children.
He thanked Orient Finance PLC for providing leasing facilities and DIMO
for providing Tata City Rider buses at concessional prices.
