ComBank donates IT Lab to Telijjawila Central School

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon donated a fully-equipped computer
laboratory to the Telijjawila Central School in the Matara district
under the Bank's community initiative to promote IT education. The
donation, the 60th of its kind will benefit the school's 2,850 students,
a spokesman for the Bank said.
"More than 30,000 students countrywide have been provided facilities
for IT education under this program to date," he said.
The computer laboratory was opened by the Deputy Chairman of
Commercial Bank, K.G.D.D. Dheerasinghe in the presence of
representatives of the corporate management of the Bank.
"This is a school that has a long and distinguished history and an
institution that has provided education to many thousands of students
over the years," said Managing Director and CEO of Commercial Bank, Ravi
Dias. "It is a privilege for the Commercial Bank to support such an
institution."
