The two-kilometre stretch of Galle Road, near Waskaduwa, Kalutara from Pohoddaramulla to Nagas Junction goes under water, whenever there is a heavy shower, causing inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians. The pathetic situation of the Waskaduwa – Pothupitiya stretch has been a recurrent discussion during the monthly meetings of the Kalutara Pradeshiya Sabha and the Kalutara UC but a solution has not been found.
