Duminda Ariyasinghe completes Masters program at NUS and Harvard

Executive Director (Investment Promotion) at the Board of Investment
(BOI) of Sri Lanka, Duminda Ariyasinghe, has successfully completed a
prestigious Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) Fellowship, offered by the Government of
Singapore, to develop the next generation of public service Asian
leaders.
The program provides for the study for a Master in Public Management
(MPM) with semesters at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the
National University of Singapore (NUS) and at the John F. Kennedy School
of Government at Harvard University, USA. Recipients of the LKY
Fellowship are senior professionals with a proven trajectory of
leadership and a strong commitment to public service in their respective
countries.During the program, Ariyasinghe also completed an attachment
with the Economic Development Board of Singapore, the lead government
agency for planning and executing strategies towards sustaining
Singapore as a leading global hub for investment and business.
As a senior executive of BOI, the agency tasked with the attraction
and facilitation of foreign direct and local investment, Ariyasinghe is
responsible for leading the promotion and development of critical
sectors Tourism, IT & Knowledge Services and Agriculture, including
strategic development projects. Prior to joining the BOI, Ariyasinghe
worked as a senior executive in marketing and strategy with Procter
& Gamble, Kraft Foods and H J Heinz Company in USA and Canada. He
holds a BA Honours Degree in Economics (First Class) from McMaster
University, Canada and an MBA from the University of Toronto. |
