Union Bank partners SLCSMI to enhance SME reach
Union Bank of Colombo PLC has partnered with the Sri Lanka Chamber
for Small and Medium Industries (SLCSMI) to add value to the SME sector.

Chief Marketing Manager, Union Bank, Thishani Dissanayake said that
this partnership enables the Bank and the SLCSMI to add further value to
the growing SME sector by enhancing its reach to several new areas in
the country.
Through this partnership Union Bank will offer its Viyaparika Saviya
SME Club members a range of benefits which will also include free access
and membership to the SLCSMI.
She said that Union Bank has a network of 40 branches and its
expanding branch network will help SMEs to get the support of the SLCSMI.
According to the President of the Sri Lanka Chamber of Small and
Medium Industries, Aloy Jayawardene, "This partnership with Union Bank
will further enhance our commitment to the small and medium
entrepreneurs in the country. Through Union Bank's SME Club, the Chamber
will offer SMEs advice and training to develop business and participate
in national and international trade and support with regard to policy
issues at government fora. Members will network with members of the
SLCSMI from all provinces to develop and grow business partnerships."
He said that the SLCSMI has served the SMEs in Sri Lanka for over 50
years and this partnership marks yet another milestone to take the
Chamber's vision to develop and support the growth of SMEs across new
areas in Sri Lanka. |
