BPWSL President, Janaki Gunawardena said that to build a new Sri

business is conducted. The public and private sector should work with
responsibility towards the future of the country and be free of
corruption.
BPWSL has invited 125 affiliates from the five continents.
"We intend to appoint selected participants from across the world to
be ambassadors of change and take the message of peace and development
to their countries.
The ambassadors will advocate and lobby against destructive
activities and focus on changing perceptions and values and the manner
of doing business.
The conference will provide an opportunity to bring people from
across the world to show the need for international understanding,
friendship and communication.
"We believe that development of a country will be complete only when
women become equal participants in social and economic activities which
is the change that is needed to achieve universal peace. Gunawardena
said change is a holistic approach which helps children reach their
potential with the help of the collective capabilites of BPWSL.
BPWSL's project 'Change' provides a stable education for less
privileged children.
Aushi Leeyana, a girl from a low income family, brought change to her
village. BPW built a house for Aushi whose house was destroyed due to
heavy rain. She calls upon others to help children develop their full
potential and be useful citizens.
