FCCI takes part in China-South Asia Business Forum
The Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) of Sri
Lanka took part in the eighth China-South Asia Business Forum which took
place recently in China.
The forum was held by the China Council for Promotion of
International Trade, SAARC Chamber of Commerce and the People's
Government of Yunnan Province in Kunming.
With the support of the State Council of China, the first China-South
Asia Fair was held concurrently with the eighth China-South Asia
Business Forum.
The business forum was on the theme 'Regional Cooperation for common
development' and several sub fora such as eco-friendly construction and
agricultural development and investment promotion was also held.
The fair was held to promote economic and trade cooperation and
development between China and South Asian countries.
Sri Lankan women are a highly enterprising section of society and
contribute to the national economy by engaging in various economic
activities, said Chairperson, Philip Hospitals, Kalutara, Ms Indrani
Fernando, at the first meeting on women entrepreneur cooperation at the
Business forum. |
