Bhanuka and Akila put Colts on top

Bhanuka Rajapakse's unbeaten century and Akila Dhananjaya's five
wicket haul helped Colts Cricket Club to lead by 181 with six wickets in
hand against Nondescript Cricket Club in their SLC Division I Under-23
match played at Colts grounds yesterday.
The aggressive left hander Rajapakse, who played for Sinhalese Sports
Club last season, struck eight boundaries and three huge sixes during
his 130-ball knock in the Colts' second innings. Colts are 226 for four
wickets at the end of second day's play.
NCC made 213 in their first innings. Colts' Akila Dhananjaya took a
five wicket haul as the right arm spinner took five for 27. Earlier,
Colts had made 168 runs in the first innings and were 226 for four by
yesterday's stump.
Colts: 168 in 44.3 overs (Chathuranga Kumara 40, Angelo
Jayasinghe 34, Bhanuka Rajapakse 25, Akila Dhananjaya 24, Dushmantha

Chamikara takes 5/71
Tamil Union's Chamikara Edirisinghe took a five wicket haul and his
team is leading by 81 runs with six wickets in hand on the second day
against Sri Lanka Army in their SLC Division I Under-23 match played at
Panagoda yesterday.
Tamil Union, who made 202 runs in the first innings, were 124 for
four at second day's stump. Army scored 245 in their first innings.
Tamil Union: 202 in 55.5 overs (Denuwan Rajakaruna 92,
Chamikara Edirisinghe 30, Manoj Sarathchandra 20, Lakshan Madusanka
5/67, Janith Silva 2/19) and 124/4 in 27 overs (Pulina Tharanga 58,

Moors triumph
Moors Sports Club recorded a five-wicket win over Bloomfield Cricket
and Aquatic Club in their SLC Division I Under-23 cricket match ended at
Braybrooke Place yesterday.
Moors chased down a 138-run target and reached losing five wickets
for 141.
Bloomfield: 273 and 87 in 19.4 overs (Nipun Karunanayake 35,
Kaushalya Gajasinghe 6/42, Shehan Jayasuriya 4/44).
Moors: 223 in 51.5 overs (Sanitha de Mel 37, Oshadha Fernando
31, Aravinda Premaratne 30, Koshan Dhanushka 6/53, Ruvindu Shamen 2/39)
and 141/5 in 28 overs (Asad Boraham 38 n.o, Kaushalya Gajasinghe 34,

Easy for Moratuwa
Moratuwa Sports Club won their Under-23 Division One match by 10
wickets defeating Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club on the second day
played at Moratuwa yesterday.
Batting first Air Force were collapsed to pathetic 93 runs and
Moratuwa SC made 195 and had a 102-run first innings advantage. Air
Force in their second essay, made only 151 runs.
Moratuwa SC set 50-run target, and reached it without losing wickets.
Air Force: 93 in 34.3 overs (Vishwa Kanchuka 26, Udara
Ranasinghe 24, Shanuka Dulaj 6/30, Malshan Mendis 2/27, Malinga de Silva
