guru.lk launches 'Effective communication' course

Effective communication, the secret of many successful people, is the
latest self-improvement course launched by guru.lk - an online learning
website in Sri Lanka, targeting professionals aspiring to improve their
careers.
The site has obtained the expertise and insight of the well-known
Toastmaster and former CEO of Metropolitan Computers, Niranjan de Silva,
to offer 100 tips on effective communication, designed as a 100-day
online course.
The course covers areas such as making a great speech, handling
meetings effectively, conducting conference calls, facing interviews and
even non-verbal communication, a company official said.
"The ability to communicate effectively helps professionals immensely
in their day-to-day work, including interaction with bosses and
customers and enables them to motivate colleagues and subordinates,"
