England were 285 for seven in reply to Australia's first innings 566
for eight declared, a deficit of 281 runs, at tea on the third day of
the second Ashes Test at Lord's on Saturday. Moeen Ali was 38 not out
and Stuart Broad five not out, with England needing 82 more runs to
avoid the follow-on after captain Alastair Cook was out for 96 shortly
before tea.
England lead the five-match series 1-0 after their 169-run win in the
first Test in Cardiff last week.
