Champion athletes from Kandy

Kandy Zone won both girls and boys schools championships collecting 452 and 791 points respectively at the five day Track and Field meet held at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy from 6th to 10th July 2015 organised by the Dept. of Education, Kandy.

Here Yasaran Thennakoon Pitawala, Athletics Captain of Trinity College, Kandy received the Champion Trophy from the chief guest Sarath Ekanayake, Chief Minister (C/P).

Safia Yamith of Vihara Maha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy who won the Under 17 100m, 200m and 400m races received the girls championship trophy from the Chief Guest.
