Kohli faces big test in Sri Lanka

Despite Sri Lanka losing the recently concluded home series against Pakistan in all three formats, Indian captain Virat Kohli believes that the three Test matches against the host country should provide a high voltage series. The first Test will begin on August 12 at the Galle International Stadium, one of the Island’s most picturesque and successful venues.

England regained the Ashes after wrapping up a spectacular victory over Australia on the third morning of the fourth Test at Trent Bridge on Saturday as the hosts took Australia’s three remaining second-innings wickets in 39 minutes to win by an innings and 78 runs. England’s second successive three-day triumph gives them an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series with one match to play.

Rahane and Sharma warm-up for Galle Test

India got much-needed match practice as they enjoyed an advantage on all three days against the Sri Lanka Board President’s XI in the tour opener that ended in a tame draw at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday as batsman Ajinkya Rahane and fast bowler Ishant Sharma had good work-outs ahead of the first Test in Galle starting on Wdenesday.
