Seylan offers edutainment experiences for children
Seylan Bank, the bank with a heart, rather than devoting only one day
for the nation's children, celebrates the whole month of October as
'Children's Month' to celebrate the World Children's Day.
Seylan Bank's children's month celebrations will be held innovative
activities across its 158 islandwide branch network and Seylan Student
Savings centres in schools across the country.
The bank's objective is to touch children's lives, be a partner in
their development and instil banking practices from their early
childhood.
Seylan Tikiri, Seylan Bank's minor savings account with a history of
23 years, dedicates a whole month of entertainment, competitions and fun
for its young account holders.
The branches of Seylan Bank across the country have organized
activities focusing on children, which have socio-cultural relevance to
their respective locations.
Deputy General Manager, Marketing and Personal Banking, Seylan Bank,
Tilan Wijeyesekera said, "Banking is an essential lifestyle practice and
children rarely associate themselves with a bank's services as their
accounts are predominantly managed by parents."
"SeylanTikiri took the initiative in 2014 to provide the children a
month long wonderful banking experience coinciding with the World
Children's Day and Month.
Following its success last year Seylan Bank organized Children's
month celebrations this year too," he said.
"We also welcome new depositors during this month.
They will be gifted a Tikiri till in addition to the normal range of
gifts upon making an initial deposit of Rs. 1,000. In addition to the
special gift, Tikiri children will also get definite gifts on their
account balance.
This is by far the most interactive and rewarding minor savings
accounts scheme in Sri Lanka," Wijeyesekera said. |
