Fashion Bug uplifts Ragama Hospital

Fashion Bug, in its series of CSR activities recently installed
direction boards at Ragama Hospital for the convenience of the public.
This is the second social project carried out by Fashion Bug at the
Ragama Hospital. The Maternity Ward at the teaching unit was refurbished
earlier. '"As a corporate responsible citizen, we take pride in giving
back to society. We have initiated many projects that go beyond public
service such as sports, health and education," said Dr. S H M Faraaz,
Deputy General Manager, Fashion Bug.
Health is the most important aspect in any society and economy, and
the public and private sector need to promote the well-being of the
public," he said.
Fashion Bug initiated a drinking water project at Ovitigamuwa Maha
Vidyala and donated a computer lab to Thumbe Kanishta Vidyalaya through
the sponsorship of the Dhammikka Kithulgoda Scholarship Foundation, and
various CSR activities at Maharagama Cancer Hospital, Lady Ridgeway,
Colombo Eye Hospital including many environmental projects..
Twenty schools and over 7000 students have benefitted from the Sisu
Dirimaga, CSR program and will continue till 120 schools and over
100,000 students across the country benefit. "We are conducting these
programmes in over 120 schools islandwide, and over 100,000 students
will benefit," said Shabier Subian, Director of Fashion Bug and Founder
of the Sisu Dirimaga programme.
"It is our aim to establish a sustainable CSR platform with long-term
objectives. It will ensure that all projects stem from one clear
platform, establishing a clear CSR identity for Fashion Bug as a
responsible corporate citizen, as well as give our customers the
satisfaction of being part of a noble national cause," he said. |
