Uncapped duo in 214-stand after Thirimanne falls for a duck

A vigorous 214 run stand between Udara Jayasundera (124 n.o) and
Minod Bhanuka (101) for the third wicket took the Sri Lanka Cricket
President’s XI to 233 for 3 in reply to the West Indies first innings
total of 209 on the second day of their three-day match played at the
SSC ground yesterday.
The third wicket pair of Jayasundera and wicket keeper Minodh Bhanuka
got their act together when the home side had lost the wickets of opener
Kusal Mendis and skipper Lahiru Thirmanne with nothing on the board.
Paceman Kemmer Roach took both wickets.
The third wicket pair batted with assurance and added 214 runs with
both Jayasundera and Bhanuka completing centuries.
Jayasundera who faced 177 deliveries struck 17 fours and two sixes
while Bhanuka faced 160 deliveries with 15 fours and one six.
