EU to ban LTTE?

The European Union is contemplating a ban on the LTTE in view of the escalating violence in the North-East, a diplomat said.

SLMM chief returns empty handed

Meanwhile, diplomatic sources in Colombo expressed anger and annoyance over the LTTE's arrogance towards ignoring the opinion of the international community. "The Tigers, had totally disregarded the visit of SLMM Chief Ulf Henricsson to Kilinochchi on Friday night. This is nothing but sheer arrogance," a Western diplomat based in Colombo asserted.
