OracleR Fusion Middleware crosses billion dollar milestone
Oracle said that revenue for OracleR Fusion Middleware passed the $1
Billion revenue threshold for FY06. During the most recent quarter, Q4
FY06, Oracle Fusion Middleware licence revenue grew 57 percent year over
year. For the entire fiscal year, Oracle Fusion Middleware grew 34.5
percent year over year in licence revenue.
"Oracle Fusion Middleware is one of our most exciting success
stories. Five years ago we weren't in this business," said Charles
Phillips, President of Oracle.
"These results prove the strength of Oracle's infrastructure software
business and our ability to execute on organic growth. We are capturing
market share faster than any other player in the industry. Nearly half
of our middleware revenue during FY06 came from partners, demonstrating
the strength of Oracle's middleware product with developers and systems
integrators."
For FY06, total product revenue (consisting of software licence
revenues and maintenance revenue) for Oracle Fusion Middleware was more
than $1 Billion. Training, education and other services revenue
associated with Oracle Fusion Middleware are incremental to this total
product revenue.
Oracle Fusion Middleware surpassed 31,000 cumulative customers
(excluding Tools) during FY06 and was recognised repeatedly for its
quality and feature set by independent analysts. |
