Isipathana in comfortable win
Isipathana cruised to a resounding 43 points to nil victory over
Vidyartha in their schools 'B' division league rugby match at Havelock
Park yesterday.
The winners collected their points from five goals, one try and one
penalty having led 15-nil at half time.
Wesley win 17-11
Wesley put up a tremendous performance to beat the giant killers St.
Anthony's by 17 points to 11 in their schools 'A' division league rugby
match at the Royal grounds, Reid Avenue yesterday. The Wesleyites
collected their points from one goal and two tries while the Antonians
managed to score a solitary try and two penalties. Wesley took a close
10-3 lead at half time.
Thomians trounced
Defending champions Kingswood trounced S. Thomas' by 46 points to 12
in their schools 'A' division league rugby tournament match played at
the Police Park yesterday. The Kingswoodians collected their points from
five goals, one try and two penalties having led 21-7 at half time. S.
Thomas' College responded with one goal and one try.
Fourth win
St. Peters cruised to their fourth successive victory as they
defeated Thurstan by 56 points to 7 in their schools 'A' division league
rugby match at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
The winners collected their points from four goals, five tries and
one penalty having led 39 nil at half time. Thurstan managed to score
just a solitary goal.s |
