Installation of SLAAS General President

Ceremonial Induction of the General President, Dr. W.L. Sumathipala, President of Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science SLAAS 2007 will take place on January 19 at 5 pm at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, 100, Independence Square, Colombo 7. Chief Guest of the occasion will be Minister of Environment, and Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Mahaweli Development Maithripala Sirisena.

The Guest of Honour will be Vidya Jyoti Prof. Dayantha S. Wijesekera. The Policy prospective as well as the theme for the year 'Education, Science and Technology towards Managing Natural Disaster' will be proposed and elaborated by the president during the gathering.

Council members, past presidents and members of SLAAS are invited to attend the function.
