Wanted volleyball coaches

VOLLEYBALL: The Volleyball Federation of Sri Lanka with a view of forming youth national training pools for both boys and girls has decided to call in for applications volleyball coaches.

Those coaches wishing to apply for respective posts should send the following details before January 20 by registered post to Secretary, Volleyball Federation of Sri Lanka, No. 2, Reid Avenue, Colombo 7. The details - coach's name, address, educational qualifications, sports qualifications and experience and knowledge gained as a volleyball coach.

The applications should be forwarded for boy's pool - head coach, assistant coach. Girl's pool - head coach, assistant coach.

According to Susil Ranasinghe, Secretary, Volleyball Federation of Sri Lanka all details from coaches should be in perfect order otherwise applications will be rejected.

Men's Pool

The Volleyball Federation of Sri Lanka will start the national training pool for men's spikers today at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium commencing 9 a.m. The men's players will train under Sisira Kumara Vanderkoon (National Coach), S. L. A. Sumith (Assistant Coach), Lalith Premalal (Trainer).

The men's volleyballers are due to participate at the 2nd Central Asian Men's Volleyball Championships in Islamabad, Pakistan in April followed with another tour to Indonesia for the 13th Asian Men's Volleyball Tournament in July this year.
