Toyota Avanza ideal for tough driving conditions

The new Toyota Avanza, the first Multi-Purpose Vehicle (CMV) in the country was launched by Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.

The spacious and roomy cabin of the Avanza will comfortably seat seven passengers in three rows, allowing for more head room with its 'tall boy' style.

The Avanza is designed for passenger comfort with up to 17 storage spaces and high capacity dual air-conditioning that uniformly cools the cabin. Not only that, even getting in and out of the car is easier as the Avanza boasts a higher seat height than Sedans but lower than vans, with doors that open wide.

With power steering and power mirrors, the Avanza offers a superior driving experience while its 1.3 litre, 4 cylinder VVT-i engine that delivers greater than expected performance along with a low fuel consumption even with a heavy load.

The instrument panel is designed based on how people may actually operate it and has optimised shapes and locations of switches to improve visibility and use. The innovative design of the Avanza makes parking in narrow spaces easy as is driving down narrow roads and parallel parking.

And even better, the air intake is at a greater height than most Sedans, which when coupled with the under panel reduces the dangers of driving through water.

This coupled with the relatively high ground clearance makes the Avanza far better suited to the rough and tough driving conditions of Sri Lanka roads. All models come with fog lamps, alloy wheels, rear wiper, power steering, power mirrors, dual air conditioner, AM/FM radio and CD player, which makes the Avanza the ultimate combination of style, utility comfort and economy all coming with the guaranteed quality of the Toyota brand.
