Bodies of missing persons found in Wilpattu

The security forces yesterday, recovered bodies of eight persons, including four security forces personnel, whose vehicle was ambushed allegedly by the Tigers, deep inside the Wilpattu Wild Life Park.

LTTE uses toddy tappers as scapegoats

The innocent toddy tappers in Jaffna have been forced to hide the small arms such as pistols, revolvers, grenades and ammunition on the fronds of the trees, the sources said. In a recent search operation carried out by the security forces in Puttur, Jaffna several small arms and ammunition were hidden on the fronds of Palmyra trees.
