A memorable sports meet

The 42nd annual inter-house sports meet of St. Lawrence's School was held recently at St. Peter's College grounds.

The chief guest was Parish Priest of St. Lawrence's Church, Rev. Fr. Bob Rodrigo and the guest of honour was Group Captain, Base Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Base, Rathmalana, R.J. Pathirage.

The athletes performed beyond all expectations, while other students with various talents presented a colourful drill display. Both the Eastern and Western bands, combined their skills in a display, in order to liven and entertain those present.

The overall champions at the meet was Lisicux House, the Games Mistress Ms. Deepa Dissanayake and her assistant Ms. Prasidi took a lot of pains to make this event a success.

A word of appreciation also goes out to the Principal, Rev. Sr. Mary Teresa Perera, House Mistress and students who made this a memorable event.
