Another stalemate in Kandy

CRICKET: The 91st Kandy's Battle of the Blues between Trinity and St.
Anthony's ended in a stalemate of 14 draws in succession at the Asgiriya
Stadium yesterday.
Though the Antonians took the field as favourites the lions clipped
the wings of the Eagles in the first session of the match when their
openers Wasika Munasinghe and Dilan Gangoda put on 102 for the first
wicket dashing the hopes of an Antonian win.
Yesterday's play produced two good performances - first by last years
Antonian skipper Shameer Munas who played an entertaining knock of 81
with 12 fours and 1 six off 94 deliveries which helped the Antonians in
a big way to over haul the lions total.
Trinity's skipper Sachith Pathirana bowled well to capture 5 for 105
to carry away the best bowler award.
