IFS Lanka chosen as ERP solutions provider

IFS Sri Lanka, a global enterprise applications company, was chosen as the solutions provider by TVS Lanka, a household brand name in Sri Lanka as well as in India for motor-cycles.

"It gives us great pleasure to work hand in hand with TVS Lanka, enabling it to be on par with the best of automotive companies in the world having best practices whilst responding proficiently and successfully to the market changes.

IFS brings in expertise and experience of having run its ERP solution in world renowned automotive companies such as BMW, Volvo, Daimler Chrysler and Toyota. In Sri Lanka, with the signing up of TVS, IFS added another feather to the cap of auto motive companies which runs IFS Applications," said Vice President, IFS South Asia, Jayantha De Silva, when explaining how the ERP system used by TVS Lanka will facilitate to achieve higher business performance and competitive edge.

Jayantha said, "the Enterprise Resource Planning system would offer TVS Lanka with better transparency within and outside the company, quicker access to precise data, superior dexterity in business progression and scaleable solution that supports growth of the company.

As a result, business decisions taken will be more accurate, whilst the company could as well more easily adapt to changes in business trends. It helps the company to avoid stock-outs and stock piling up as well as on-line relocation of stock on requirement basis".

TVS Lanka being a joint venture between United Motors Lanka Limited and TVS Iyangar and Sons, India both giants in the motor industry started in 2003. Today TVS Lanka has become a leading vendor for two wheelers having more than 700 customer service points all over the island with a range of motorcycles to suit every person's lifestyle and budget.

"Due to the incremental growth we had TVS faced a problem in managing information and making the required data available, we need a solutions provider who will assist in rectifying these issues swiftly while helping in the expansion of the company's activities.

Though the task of evaluating and selecting the right solutions provider was overwhelming, we are happy to have chosen IFS.

We eagerly wait for the delivery of the solution and the true value will come through proper approach in implementation and the ability of selling the product as a mechanism that helps improve the level of productivity and expertise in each individual user.
