Handicraft Fair

Featured here are some of the crafts that our rural craftsmen excel in. They range from many handmade utility ware to decorative artifacts produced by a large number of craft producing families who live all ove the country and these folks is brought together in view of showing their produce to the city dwellers who rarely gets an oppertunity to see them.

The exhibition which is currently on at the National Art Gallery paves the way for visitors to buy these items at a reasonable rate and help rural craftsmen to carry on with their creative work.

The exhibition which is organised by the National Crafts Council ends on the 21st. It is opende to the public daily from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm. It is a Ministry of Rural Industries and Self-employment Promotion exercise.
