Chandimal takes first hat-trick for the season

CRICKET: Chandimal Rathnayake is a blooming star in the making. A student of Dharmaraja College, Kandy, he has shown good form in the school cricket season now in progress.

He claimed the season's first hat-trick taking 6 wickets for just 16 runs against the powerful Royal team. The match eventually ended in a draw. Chandimal has proved his ambition with his good bowling record and batting as well.

He has good potential and dynamic capability. He played remarkably well for the Central Province team from his younger days and has shown immense talent. During the semi-final of the provincial match, he scored 62 (not out)

His ambition is to represent Sri Lanka.

He has been coached by David Karunarathna, Ananda Withesekara and Senaka Disanayaka. (IP)
