Record deposits greet Abans Finance

Rs. 300 mn in deposits in the first few days in the wake of its public launch sets Abans Financial Services Limited as the country's newest finance company.

The firmly established new entrant is taking Sri Lanka's financial industry by storm with a driving, all-new perspective; envisioned to reach out and enrich the people, adding high value, convenience and fast processing to conventional financial products that are completely revamped to be customer oriented, specific and personalised.

The driving forces behind Abans Financial Services Limited's thrust are Mrs. Abans Pestonjee, the enterprising founder Chairperson of the Group, and Mrs. Mano Alles, Managing Director of Abans Finance, a veteran banker with experience and mastery over finance - a most potent combination given their dynamism, experience and vision. They oversee a team of hand-picked professionals and a well-trained force of staff officers.

Although in operation now for over two and half years, Abans Finance has spent their initial period quietly, planning and gearing themselves, and formulating their product line up, for the major drive ahead. More than just simply being a profit-motivated company, Abans aims to help people play a more central role in the economy of the country.

The company wants to reach out to the masses by offering basic financial advice in day-to-day personal finance management.

"Our vision is to offer basic awareness of sound financial planning while offering tailor-made financial support and investment tools to people who don't have ready-support from large banks. It is our responsibility to help more people become players in the formal economy, carving out a better future for them, as well as the country, too" said Mrs. Alles.
