Seylan Bank awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification
Seylan Bank, which has been in the forefront of innovative banking
solutions and customer care, has been awarded the prestigious ISO
9001:2000 certification in recognition of the application of quality
management principles in provision of Trade Finance, Foreign Currency
Banking and Remittance Services.
The international certification was awarded to Seylan Bank by Societe
Generale De Surveillance United Kingdom Ltd. with due endorsement from
the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS); through their local
agents SGS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., and specifies requirements for a quality
management system, that the bank has implemented to provide consistent
quality service to fulfill customer requirements.
In keeping with the vision of its founder Chairman Dr. Lalith
Kotelawala, the Bank has provided its Trade Finance clientele with
facilities backed by state of the art technology.
Trade Finance customers inclusive of those serviced by the Foreign
Currency Banking Unit would enjoy an unmatched standard of service,

certification.
