The
annual English Day - 2007 was held late last year at the school's main
hall under the distinguished patronage of the Zonal Deputy Director of
English, L. Amarasuriya.
The two I.S.A.s, Mrs. L. Jayasinghe, Ms. V. Siriwardhana, the
principal, A.J.M. Sugathadasa and the headmaster of the English Unit, J.
Karunanayke, were among those who attended the event.

Action songs, oratory, dramas, group songs and western dances were
some of the main items presented by the students, especially trained for
the occasion.

teachers expressed his satisfaction at the manner in which the
event was organised and thanked the staff of the English Unit for their
unstinted effort. The principal in his address reiterated the importance
of English and appreciated the students who showed their talents.
The headmaster of the English Unit, J. Karunanayake stressed the
value of this sort of English activities, at school level. The
certificates were awarded to the students who made their mark in the
various competitions. Featured are some of the highlights of the English
Day activities.
