Re-remanded for selling vehicles to LTTE

A man from Nugaliyadde, Talatuoya, who is alleged to have sold several vehicles to the LTTE, was re-remanded by Sumudu Premachandra, Magistrate and ADJ Kandy when he was produced in court from remand custody on Thursday.

The suspect H. M. K. Bandara Herath was arrested on June 25 last year and kept at the police station for investigations under a detention order. Later he was produced in court and remanded.

When the case was called sergeant S. M. S. Samarakoon of the Range Intelligent Unit (RIU) Kandy submitted a further report to court and said that inquiry proceedings had been forwarded to the Attorney General for further action.
