Cricket programmes launched to unearth hidden talent

CRICKET: Sidath Wettimuny former Sri Lanka Test star, has launched a Cricket programmes to unearth the hidden talent of the cricketers in outstations and has organised a project in all the provinces of the country.

For Central Province, there will be a coaching programme in March, 2008 by the provincial coaches headed by Sunil Fernando assisted by Bernard Perera and Chaminda Kodikara.

These coached will be supported by some past Test cricketers.

The programmes for the 1st term of the year 2008:

1) 3rd March under 13 Cricket coaching programme at the Vidyartha College Cricket Ground.

2) 10th March under 15 coaching programme at the Peradeniya University Grounds.

3) 31st March under 17 coaching programme at Peradeniya University Grounds.

This programme will continue throughout the country till December, 2008
